Snorkeling, in January!

After our visit to Okuma with John and Nance I could tell John really had the itch to go snorkeling. After all, Okinawa is one of the world's best locations to dive and snorkel. If you have read this blog before you have read that our favorite spot to snorkel is Horseshoe Beach. I got our trusty tour guide-Sarah Fullwood (who is the woman in the pictures) and off we went to Horseshoe Beach. The water was cold-wet suits required-but the snorkeling was great. Thanks for a great morning of ocean fun, Sarah!

Dolphin Park

I am writing about this one a little late in the game...but I didn't want to miss the chance to blog about it. For John and Nance's last day we went snorkeling in the morning (see other entry) and to the Dolphin Park in the afternoon. The boys love the roller slide and I love the merry go round-so did Big Nance!

Cape Hedo

I can honestly say this is one of the most beautiful vistas I have ever seen in my life. It ranks right up there with pulling into the Malta Bay, Gozo island, Palma de Mayorca, and Florence...it may even top the list. There was something very peaceful yet forceful about the cape. You can see for miles and there were literally hundreds of different colors in the ocean. This is the northern most point on the island and is where the East China Sea meets the Pacific Ocean. Bungee Trampoline!

This could go in the Okinawa v. USA section of our blog but I won't embarrass the States and keep it here. No where in the States would they let you hook a two year old up to a bungee and let him fly as much as Danny did...holy cow. (I made Farrell a little nervous by how high I was throwing Danny) The boys had a great time!

Sullivans' got Game...

I always knew I was lucky to marry a man with good athletic genes (all I got in me is cheerleading, dance and gymnastics-not such a good outlook for two BOYS). Anyway, the Sullivan clan is pretty athletic and signs are looking good for our little studs in training. At Okuma, we had fun biking, hitting the batting cages, mini golf, go karts, and bungee jumping on the trampoline (okay, maybe that one did come from my side). The boys never stopped.

Wago and Ramen..to end the year right.

Well, as 2008 comes to a close the Sullivan family could think of no better way to celebrate than to head to Wago and the Big Ramen Joint. There you have it...bouncy houses and tons o' noodles. Hai!

Pizza in the Sky, Pineapple Park and Neo Park-AGAIN!

We are really trying to give my parents a real authentic Okinawan experience. So where else to take them but to Pizza in the Sky, Pineapple Park and Neo Park! Despite the fact we were at all of those places less than four weeks ago with Sue, we donned our tourist outfits and headed out. Pizza in the Sky was great as was the Pineapple Park. I didn't realized how much birds freaked me out until we went back to the Neo Park. The bird poop was every where and in unbelievable amounts! Oh well, the kids didn't seem to mind...here is to tourism!
